Weekend Buys

I went a little kimono crazy this weekend. I couldn't decide between the couple I found so why not buy them all right? A kimono is something that can be dressed up or down, worn over a simple tee/cami, paired with rompers, over crop tops or even as beach cover ups. The 4 kimonos I bought were all found on sheinside.com and were an incredible price (all $20 and under a piece), which helped me justify buying 4 😁

Sheinside.com also had a deal where you got free shipping on orders over $100 so I browsed the site and ended up stumbling across this beautiful lace cami. The piece would pair perfectly under a kimono or cardigan and is a perfect lightweight summer top.

The other website I had luck on was loveculture.com I found a super cute lightweight romper which could be worn running weekend errands or can be dressed up for date night. I also found a cute but still conservative bralette, which will look super cute paired under lightweight flowly tops this summer. The last steal I found was a cute braided pair of sandles. A girl can never have enough shoes, right?

Spring Essentials

1. Bright, bold print pieces are a great way to wake things up after the fall and winter months of dark, neutral colors.

2. Jersey shirt dresses are easy and effortless. Great for days when you want to look put together but still be comfortable. Paired with a jacket or blazer, shirt dresses can easy be dressed up or down.

3. Neutral basics for layering. Grabbing pieces that were staples in your winter wardrobe like your favorite jeans and tee, and pairing them with flats and some bright jewelry or a blazer helps stretch your wardrobe.

4. Maxi skirts are a must, must, must for spring and summer. They can be made casual with a basic tee and sandles, or they can be made effortlessly chic with a crop top and wedges. Maxi skirts are comfortable yet classic.

5. Jackets and blazers for layering help expand your wardrobe. Having a few different styles like colored blazers, jean jackets, military jackets and leather jackets make mixing and matching a breeze. A bright colored maxi skirt paired with a plain tee and a jean jacket works great as an easy weekend outfit. Swap the jean jacket for a structured blazer or leather jacket and you can transform your day to night outfit with one simple change.

6. Flats and low top sneakers are a spring wardrobe essential, especially for people living places with chilly spring temps. Play around with fun colors, patterns, and studded accents.

7. Bright, bold jewelry. It's fun to mix and match metals, colors and designs when it comes to jewelry. Adding bold accent pieces easily transforms day to night outfits.
